As a member of the Identity team I lead a variety of infrastructure and user-facing projects focusing on the sign in experience of Google's authentication platform.

July 2010 – January 2012

Software Engineer (Site Reliability) Google Mountain View, CA

Restructured subsystems and participated in an on-call rotation to maintain reliability of a global authentication service used by millions of users each day. Architected tools for operational task automation and oversaw capacity planning to ensure scalability without impacting end-user latency.

Software Engineer Cornell Interaction Design Lab Ithaca, NY

Developed an instrumented augmented reality platform to study a social network consisting of shared annotations in the physical world. The initial prorotype [PDF], developed in two weeks, won the Cisco Pioneer Award at Cornell's BOOM 2010 student research conference.

System Administrator Cornell Language Acquisition Lab Ithaca, NY

Administered an intranet of Macs and PCs, including Mac OS X servers which house data pertaining to the study of language acquisition. Developed an online dissemination portal and consulted on the methodology to develop and deploy infrastructure for a multisite distance learning course.

Developer CIT Advanced Technology and Architectures Group Ithaca, NY

Devised a lightweight native framework for iPhone data dissemination to enable those without iPhone programming experience to easily provide their data to users. Constructed an iPhone application and corresponding data entry tool to visually navigate the Cornell campus and its many services.

Networks Intern International Computer Science Institute Berkeley, CA

Assisted staff members in NSF-funded research involving network troubleshooting and systems data analysis. Actively participated in weekly symposia regarding current topics in computer networking.

Developer Case Scheduler Cleveland, OH

Created a web service to more readily prepare academic schedules that incorporate classes as well as extracurriculars. Case Scheduler indexes course data and adds significant time management functionality through novel search methods and visual data manipulation.

Designed and implemented a software distribution portal used by thousands of faculty, staff, and students on a daily basis in order to streamline management and to simplify the end user experience. Performed various maintenance and troubleshooting tasks pertaining to Mac software offerings.

Resident Advisor Cornell University Ithaca, NY

Implemented floor and building programs consistent with the ideals of Campus Life and Residential Programs while working directly with two other co-RAs. Joined a staff of fifteen resident advisors mid-year to support a first-year community of nearly 500 first-year university students.

Resident Assistant Case Western Reserve University Cleveland, OH

Crafted programs for a residential college of almost 300 first-year students. Developed and maintained a community with emphasis on tolerance and respect. Continued to nurture the residential arts community program as staff liaison to the residential college's theatrical company and overseeing executive board.
